Jack Nicklaus' new Day Date

We all know he donated the one he was gifted by Rolex in 1967 and wore until last year to charity and it sold for $1 mm, $1.22 with buyer's premium. He has a new one on. Got some good looks at it during the delay today at the Memorial while he was on. Looks to be another YG DD36 this time with black dial.

There are pics of him wearing a black dial day date as far back as the late 80’s. He likely has more than one day date.

Amazing living great!!! Of course he has more than one. He was my late father's favorite golfer and I was always pointing out his President...

In a Hodinkee interview, Jack stated that the auctioned watch was the only watch he had ever owned.

Maybe he meant at the time when he got it? There are pics on the internet of him wearing several different day dates throughout the years. He has a champagne Roman dial 118238 and a black roman dial 18038 and a few others from pics taken in public settings over the years.

Regardless, he’s a class act and living national treasure. He’s done so much good through his foundation and charity work. Other professional athletes could certainly learn a thing or two from ‘ol Jack about giving back to their communities.

With his wrist size I think a 40mm DD would be a better fit for Jack. IMHO

Sometimes you're just used to something! I wore a 36 mm watch for the last 12 years and I'm still struggling to get used to the size of the 40!

Quite possible some of the watches were not his but provided by Rolex for publicity stills.

Lots of people look like their dogs, but he's the first person I've come across who looks like his watch.

Interesting he also said he didn't actually wear the watch while golfing, he put it in a little bag in his golf bag during the match then put it on afterwards.
