OP 39mm 72 hour reserve

its coming

if that should happen, would that make the current OP39 become rare and collectable? particularly the red grape variant? that would mean only a 5 year production run.

I think the red grape is the rarest of them all, I was ringing around all the ADs in my Country, and none of them ever seen a red grape come in even, mind you only 3 ADS here

even if op39 gets upgraded, why would the grape dial be distinguished?

Yea I was wondering the same thing. If anything, the white and black would "rarer" since they were released after the colored variants.

I wear my white 39 for weeks at a time so more PR isn't really a selling feature for me. The new one probably has an 'upgraded' (aka, noisy a**) rotor too

For heavens sake, stop the madness!

OP, the OP (any variant) is neither rare nor collectible. An upgraded movement is a non-event for 99.9%

I don't think any modern Rolex will be collectible much. Maybe the GMTln or SD4k but I doubt it

Have to agree but with many today Rolex are no longer watches now just seen as little more than $$$$$££££ with rare this or collectible that.

Only if the dial or case changed too. And even then only the current white and black prices would rise a bit

No one cares about a 72 hour PR on a watch without even a date.

5 years isn't a short production run, least of all for the red grape.

These things don't seem to really matter at the lower end of the Rolex catalogue. It's only with the core offering which an OP is not (as nice as it is).

Lastly it's the red grape. No one wants that one.

I just traded my Rolex 4113 for a OP39 Red Grape. I almost felt guilty.

Have to agree and gone down hill fast over the past 5 years, afraid today many true Rolex collectors are going down hill fast. Now we have more hype, rare this or that, collectable this or that, and $$$£££ if I buy this or that so called Rolex collectors.
