Discontinued submariners
I own a 114060. It was just discontinued. Anyone know what happens if say I have to send it to Rolex the in the future for a new dial or bracelet? Does Rolex make these replacement parts indefinitely or do they just have a big storage supply. I’m just curious if anyone knows because it seems like great customer service that we can get replacement parts on watches you cannot even by anymore.

Most manufactures if not all have components to service their products for many years. I don't have a specific quantity or length of time but you shouldn't have any issues.

Well, I have a 30 year old GMT BLRO 16750 and they service it without issue so they definitely don't give up on their watch models.

If the parts aren't a precious metal... It basically costs Rolex nothing to keep parts on hand. They have a huge facility so storage isn't an issue (parts aren't large) - and they've been in business long enough to know how many of each part for each watch they'd need to keep to service over the next 50 odd years.
Sign of a good company. Unlike other companies, some who make phones who stop supporting their product after a few years so that force you into buying the latest model. |

Had my fathers 1972 Datejust serviced two years ago.
No problems except they said the dial could no longer be sourced if required, which it wasn’t. Watch came back like new. Quite incredible really and a big driver for Rolex ownership in my opinion. They don’t ever become throw away items as they can always be refurbished. |

I had a 1974 Sub 1680 serviced at RSC a few years ago, there was no issue with them getting new parts.
