A Collected Man's Deep Dive: 14790
A Collected Man have just done a deep dive into the AP RO 14790, one of the most under-sung Royal Oaks. Fascinating and well worth a read.
Here's a photo of mine - owned for 22 years now from new, and pulled from the cupboard after reading the article. It's a small-tapisserie Series 2, apparently. |

I love this reference. Kind of stuck behind between the more recent 15300 and the very vintage and hyped 5402, but should become more appreciated with time!

There is some great articles about midsize ROs on the net, but this one featuring only 14790 is probably best so far...
Not counting Offshores 14790 is probably AP offered in most variety of materials and dials... Love your mk2 with designed A and P in the writing... I'm not into diamond indexes, I'm not into smooth dial ROs, but this platinum 14790 with dreamy blue dial is just beautiful. |
