What's the worst your Rolex has been through and didnt sustain any damage?

What's the worst your Rolex has been through and didn't sustain any damage?

A couple of days ago I went golfing with my friend and he drove the cart. I had my Air-King in a Rolex service pouch inside of the velour valuables pocket in my bag and my friend proceeded to monster truck over bumps, off of curbs, over cracks and ruts in the cart paths, etc. Extremely jarring! I didn't even think about my Rolex until we got back to the car after the round and i was going to put it back on. Then I got worried! But, nothing seems to have happened to it, I guess. It's keeping time and ticking absolutely fine. As a matter of fact, I feel like it's actually keeping better time now, lol. Before this, it was fast by about 4 seconds a day. Now over the past two days it's only ahead by about 2.5 to 3 seconds.

Interested to hear your guys stories!

I used my Macbook Pro the other day and I didn't get a scratch on the clasp of my new Submariner.

That saved me from having to start a thread about the anguish of getting a scratch and asking if I should replace it or send it in for repair.

I put my watch in my golf bag every weekend. Nothing for you to worry about OP. The worst I’ve done is drop watches a few times. Thankfully on carpet, so no scuffs or dings. Also, swung my wrist into a few door jams with no damage to the watch. I figure tool watches are meant to take a beating, so I don’t worry about it too much.

So the theory is if you want to improve the accuracy of your Rolex go for a bumpy drive in a golf cart.

Interesting.......

Thanks, man. Yeah, I play often as well and always keep it in my bag, but I'm usually the driver. This time I was shotgun and there were some extremely jarring moments.

I figure though the watch probably had a little bit less of a jarring experience being that it was wrapped in a service pouch and sort of suspended in the valuables pouch of the bag.

I wear my BLRO pretty often while riding my mountainbike, it can certainly take it.

I’m surprised some people on this forum can even manage a bowel movement considering the level of retention exhibited here.

That why you buy a MAc - i have a work issued ThinkPad and scratches galore - i am wondering if my AD will take a return three years later

Have played hundreds of rounds of golf wearing various Rolexes (admittedly my swing speed is not world class). Never a problem. When rock climbing, my Sub came off my wrist after bracelet unlatched and fell about 10 feet. Ran just fine.

I’ve fallen skateboarding and bashed my wrist with the clasp down on the sidewalk so hard. Cut up my hand and the clasp made contact with the pavement but the damage was shockingly minimal. Lesson learned though, no more skating with a Rolex on.

My wife wears my white 116520 and it’s still functioning. I love seeing it on her wrist. And as much as she’s dinged it and scratched it, it makes me more willing to wear it. I mean, how much more can I hurt it.

I’ve dropped my 116710 LN on a tile floor and it only got a small dent in the lugs.It worked fine for 9 years.
Although this year, I F’d up the hour hand by changing the date forward too fast and had to send it in for service. But it is 10 years old now.

I completely baby my AP 15400 and it’s been in for service twice in 4 years for not keeping accurate time. But APNA paid fedex both directions and fixed it both times for free.

Knocked over my 16710 from its DIY shower stand when I'd had one too many.. It landed face down onto a granite surface. I couldn't find any damage. And I looked. No flattened bezel teeth, lug surfaces, corners Nothing! Thank you sapphire crystal cyclops!?

I was wearing my DJ36 while on a cycling tour in Ireland. Fell from my bike, rolled down a small bank, landed on the edge of a bog with my left arm plunged into the mud halfway up to my shoulder. All good!
