Icon11 So this is a bit embarrassing....

Well,

As said in my first and ONLY post(at the time before this one) I joined the forum back in February of this year. I had just started collecting watches back in September of 2019 with a Moonwatch and throughout this year purchased a Speedy Tuesday 1 edition, as well as a Apollo 8 Darkside. Meaning that my AD hadn’t gotten anything subby inside of their case except for a yellow solid gold Sub which I REALLY didn’t like.

So that was that since February and I left the account in the ditch. However, on just a weird feeling and just wanting to say hello and check up how everyone is doing, I waltzed into my AD to see they had a 2019 Steel Sub for a good price. After talking for a little bit and catching up we got onto the realm of Daytona’s, which I mentioned how I HATED the look of the chocolate Everose Gold edition until I saw one in person a few months ago.

That’s when he brought this one out....

*insert picture of Chocolate rose gold Daytona here, because I don’t have privileges yet, will get that fixed later lol*

Holy hell was I in for a shock. However there was a catch...

There was ONE person in thought for it before me. Granted, I’m not complaining about just ONE person being thought of first who had actually purchased from my AD before, as it’s well known I hadn’t previously purchased from the AD, let alone an actual Rolex before!

So they held it for two days while I worked out a solid plan to get the money within a week, after lots of waiting I can proudly proclaim i purchased my first Rolex, and my dream one at that.

Since I’m still working the cash angle on it and put down a nice “retainer” fee to keep it in my name and no one else’s, I still have to wait till the end of the month to pick it up.

That OysterFlex bracelet does work wonders and I was allowed to properly try it on today.(After paying my “fee” of course.) Made it even more special that I am the first and only person to actually have worn it.

*insert another picture of the watch but on my wrist because of previously mentioned issue*

Uh, maybe I’m not doing it right but I’m using the upload link button to the jpeg files but it’s only posting the link.

So this is a bit embarrassing....

You need to use the upload image button.

Then it should let you paste the link to the image and post the picture vs. the link itself.

Not the HTML link button which simply inserts the link.

Will do. Hopefully Cadillac will not cancel their yearly plans for Rolex 24 this year so I can get over there properly with it.
