Lume me up!

Just thought I'd try my hand at some lume shots for the first time. So here we are!

Man this thing is bright.....

This is more like it.

Closer....

It's cold and very, very bright outside tonite!

Just a few quick and dirty ones to see how they turn out. I'm always surprised how handy a point and shoot is. Let me know what I can do to improve!

Looks good Otis!

I like the glowing sweeping had effect. Several of my pics are like that.

What you might want to try if you want, is to achieve the glow while it is not dark.
I pull the crown out of the watch, that way the second hand stops, set up the camera, compose the shot, and I usually got for a ten seconds timer shutter release.
During those then second, I use a flashlight to charge the lume, and remove the flashlight just in time for the picture to be taken.

After that, I push the crown back in using photoshop, if it is highly obvious that it has been pulled out.

Here are some shots taken in daylight, using that technique. (the background has been darkened in photoshop)

Ahh, thanks for that Chip. I was wondering how you got that effect! I like the look of them, I'll give it a go.
Thanks pal!

Excellent photos all, but I am especially keen on the Monster lume shot by Chip. I am still working on getting a really good one with MY BM.

Why would you want to take a pic of your BM? That's pretty disgusting.

I KNEW this would happen. I KNEW it when I wrote and posted it, but do I stop... Nooooooo. I've got to provide grist for the Paulie mill.

So, here ya go my friend. Not a photo, but perhaps just as good (or bad)...

Anybody have any shots of a 14060M? I sure wish the lume on those was longer lasting.

You're the one that said you wanted to take a lume pic of your BM, not me. Personally, I think you need to see a proctologist if you're BM is glowing.

Yeah, and I was talking about my Seiko Black Monster, not the result of eliminating waste. So...I'm off the hook on this one. Its that Paulie guy that needs a good thrashing!

You better turn back now before it's too late. It may already be too late for you, talking like that. What's the matter with you?

Do you mean that you're not in(side)to them, or just not into them in general?

The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. It's ok. You're among friends, come clean.

I think you need an expert here. I can recommend two things for you

1) Go to NZ
2) Talk to James
