First AP Royal Oak for small wrist, 34mm vs 37mm opinion?

Hi guys, this will be my first AP Royal Oak.

I'm having difficulty deciding between this two size 34mm & 37mm 15450st both in Silver white dial.

My wrist circumference is around 5.9-6".

Currently I have Rolex Explorer 36mm 114270 for everyday wear and 16710 GMT Pepsi 40mm.

Just checking in at a new AP Boutique in town, at first I want to go in and put my name on the waiting list for 37mm 15450st but they have the 34mm in stock today. So I give it a try, it wears really similiar to my Explorer 36mm in term of watch presence but the dial look kinda small for me.

What do you guy think? Should I pull the trigger on this 34mm or wait for the 37mm (Already put my name on. the waiting list, should be around 6-12 months wait.)

I don't think I will gonna sell this one as it will be the birth year of my new born child. So the market value won't affect me much but if it's increasing then it's better LOL.

Definitely go with 37mm at your wrist size, I wouldn’t even consider the 34mm. Although case size may be ok, the dial is way too small on the 34mm for you.

The 37mm is the way to go. Also check out the 38mm ROC if you want a busier dial and more heft on the wrist.

34mm is a lady's size. It looks small on your wrist, especially in the first picture. The 38 chrono looks better on you.

So go with the 37mm. It should fit perfectly.

I think the 34mm does fit the top of your wrist better at your current size. However, if you’re keeping it a lifetime, I agree with others about the larger 37-38mm models. We all seem to “expand” a bit as we age so the 34mm could start looking smaller and smaller as ones wrist increases size accordingly.

I have a 6.5" wrist and a 36mm RO. I wouldn't go any smaller

The 37mm is your first pick anyways. Never a good idea to settle for a watch just because it's available.

I have a small wrist, to wear an RO that didn’t look ridiculous, I bought the reference 14800ST. It only comes on a leather strap. The case size is 36. This model was only made for a few years, so try secondary markets.

Agree the 15450 is the way to go. My wrist is slightly larger than yours, and the 37 fits perfectly.

IMO any plain Royal Oak under the size of the 15202 (which is 39 mm) is female's watch by AP's standards, no matter what our wrist size is.

So everyone's father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was wearing a female's watch then, in your opinion.

Take a look at AP's catalogue prior to the 90s. There was only one watch bigger than 38mm and it was called the jumbo. Any guess as to why?

Agree with you. And in the 1920s the Duesenberg Model J was the fastest car. Is it still by today's standards?
I'm talking about present times and general opinion (which i tend to agree with). In the end everyone is free to buy and wear what they want. Hell, saint laurent's boots with heels are being worn by men nowadays so yeah, to each his own.
I am still entitled to my opinion though and it's a forum.

The OP's question was whether he should get a 34 or a 37mm RO. Your entitled opinion was irrelevant and nothing more than an insult to the OP, and others in this thread, who prefer smaller ROs.

Sometimes it's better to not share one's opinion when it serves no purpose other than antagonizing others. This is, for example, something that I am doing right now.
