Submariner 16610 Engraved M-Serial, or Pre-1998 Tritium?
Hi TRF'ers, which one of these options is better for daily wear and overall enjoyment? I initially purchased my M-serial because I enjoyed the rehaut and SEL. However, after having owned many other vintage watches, I feel myself slowly gravitating towards the vintage 16610 models with lug holes and tritium.
I'm feeling ambivalent about it because I do GREATLY enjoy the SEL bracelet on my M-serial. Has anyone else been in the same boat? How did you make your decision with these two options? Thanks in advance. |

Lume was the deciding factor for me.

You can get the best of both worlds... P serial with lug holes, SEL bracelet, non engraved rehaut, flat 4 bezel insert and working lume

Listen, people talk about the tritium and I have one because that was the one gifted to me. That said, having working lume is an advantage for a daily wearer. I have a u series and maybe one day it will take on an almond tone, but that’s not helping my functionality. |
