Need help with a U Series Sub ND-14060...
I need help! I'm in the process of purchasing a used Sub ND that is a "U" series. At 6:00, it only says"Swiss". Is that conistent with what it should say?
Iknow the seller, everyithing looks great, but that was my only concern... Thanks! Ron |

Yes.........
The "U" series was produced from about 1996 through 1999. The transition for changeover from Tritium dials (T Swiss <25) to Luminova dials took place in the ~1998/99 timeframe. These 1998/99 dials would say "Swiss" instead of "T Swiss <25", as you would find on the Tritium dials. Also, for a short while, Service replacement Luminova dials said only "Swiss" on them.. However, in this case I would say that it was a late production (1998/99) "U" series Luminova dial Sub.. It should also be noted that this was also the final years for the 14060 with the 3000 movement... During 1999 they changed to the 14060M which received the updated, full balance bridge 3130 movement. These two watches would look identical and the only way to tell them apart is to check under the bracelet against the case for the model number.
