A 2007 GMT Coke is listed for sale on a very large watch website. The ad says it just came back from a full service at RSC.

Take a look at the lugs on the right side of the full dial picture. The lug at the top of the dial picture looks like it had the tip chopped off!

I also attached close-ups of each lug.

How on earth does Rolex send back a piece with such asymmetrical lugs?

I guess we don't know what it looked like before service, but as picky as Rolex is, I'm surprised they would work on something and send it back with such a horrible lug.

Wow, that is a very good catch, especially from a photo.

This is why I don't like polished watches or allow any of mine to get polished. Just too much room for error on the part of the tech.

I love the polish from an RSC professional. I've sent a 18238 and a gold DD and the results were stunning.

There may have been a giant crater there that they attempted to make look presentable. Like you yourself say, we don’t know what it looked like prior.

Regardless, it looks fine to me. People who don’t trust the RSC complimentary polish can go ahead and have a 3rd party do it for additional cost if they so wish.

For what it’s worth, RSC have always done excellent work for my watches.

Its for sale in the US, so it could have been Dallas or New York. In the ad for the watch it just said it had been to the factory service center. It didn't say which one.

Very interesting. Is yours lying flat and picture is straight on? Your watch makes it look like the weird lug from my OP has TOO MUCH metal on it. The pic I posted was from a flat pic with all areas shown proportionally.

To each his own, but I love beautiful crisp lugs....and I just can't unsee the asymmetry!

I hear you! With that you must not buy this watch because you will always look at this part and will never fully enjoy this GMT. In your position I would search for a better one.

Probably just damage from everyday wear, or dropped. A service won't repair minor dents like that.

Got to admit I can’t really see the issue you’re describing (4 o’clock lug looks shorter, is that it?)...but could it be related to the end links of the jubilee being out of position or bent rather than a deformed case? Jubilee end links are hollow and often get wobbly and bent.

That particular dealer sends their watches to the Lititz PA RSC more often than not.
