Man this is crazy. You click on a website and actually get your watch. What’s funny is nobody will actually want the watch if they know you can do this.

It is live no doubt. I think I want the white face blue strap and those are still out. They also give you a 14 day return so if you try it on and don’t like it, send it back.

Honestly I wish more would do this.

I hope that is the case for most. My AD is pretending it's the next sub41 or something and won't budge a dime. I thought it would be a great relationship building piece (their parent carries Rolex) at msrp but then they want a few months to source it.

For that reason I'm going to have to wait until all the hype is over. Maybe late December next year if any remain in the case after the holidays. I was offered 30% off any zenith just before New Years. I don't see that changing long term just because of this watch but hey, 2016 Basel and the Daytona...

Probably a good model for any future Rolex DTC website. Overcap the MSRP for the FOMO factor. Split the uplift with the nearest AD to the shipping address.

A Daytona500 for $20K on website and you get it overnight. An extra $3,500 to AD for doing nothing. Pure profit to be the servicing AD if a warranty issue arises.

The AD I called, known him for a while, said they are taking orders. $10k no deal and I would get it in the summer yet I could go get one on the website now. That left a sour taste. What is the advantage to buy from him. Heck Zenith will even give me a 14 day return.

The feel is good although it did take me a bit to get used to the clasp. Here is a closer look

The Singapore website is only @Add to Wishlist@. But i have already paid the deposit with my AD in January to get the white dial with quite a huge discount.

Lead time is 3 months.

I’m in Hamilton but bought the watch from an AD in Calgary. There is an AD in Mississauga/Oakville area that had one in stock a few weeks back but I had my deposit paid already with Calgary.

Trust me I tried with ADs both in Ontario and outside but no luck. All of them had a waiting list and I was able to jump the line in Calgary as the first person to put a deposit down on the white dial. I believe they had a number of deposits on the black dial
