Share Your Ownership Experience
Hey All - for fun....curious about your Rolex ownership experiences. See below.
1. Which was your favorite to own and why? 2. Favorite aesthetically? 3. Most thrilling purchase? 4. Which was the best value for money? 5. Of those sold, which one was the most difficult to part with and My responses .... 1. Which was your favorite to own and why? 126660 D-Blue is my favorite. It’s an engineering marvel, wears perfectly on my wrist and that dial never gets old! 2. Favorite aesthetically? Same as above....love the dial and the way that it changes based on angle and lighting. 3. Most thrilling purchase? Milgaus GV. It was my first Rolex and luxury watch and my wife bought it for me on Christmas Eve 2010 while out shopping. Truly great moment! 4. Which was the best value for money? My last Gen Daytona (116520) with black dial. Bought at $12k from AD in early 2016. 5. Of those sold, which one was the most difficult to part with and why? The Milgaus mentioned above. We encountered a tough time due to a perfect storm that I never saw coming. We decided together to sell the watch. My wife said “don’t worry...they’ll be others”. It was tough due to purchase memory but 3 Rolexes later she was absolutely right!
