114270 too small for a 7” wrist?

Hey guys.

Been really enjoying my exp I.

At first I also thought it was too small after wearing my ceramic Pepsi as a daily for 2 years.

But now after wearing it for a few days my other watches are the ones that feel bulky in comparison.

Does anyone else with a 7”+ wrist rock a 36mm daily?

What do you think?

My wrist is perhaps just a hair under 7in (probably a shade over in the humidity here right now, lol) and I wear a 124270. It's my first 36mm and I'm a big fan of the size. Makes my IWC Mk XVI now feel too big by comparison. In fact, I'm now considering other smaller watches - IWC Pilot 36 on strap (looked weirdly smaller on bracelet), OP 34/36, Cartier Solo Ronde 36 - because I like the size so much.

Looks great! Depends on how Im feeling that day. Sometimes Im all in on a watch that I barely know is there. Then theres times I want a Panerai to extrude off my wrist. Neither is right or wrong in my opinion.

Yes I think it's too small, but only you can make that decision for yourself.

I have a 7.5" wrist and my DJ41 is the smallest watch I own at ~39.5 mm

imo it looks a bit small, but that doesn't mean it looks bad. i personally think it works as the watch itself gives off a vintage vibe so the size plays into that, i would say it would work even better in the two tone variant because the extra flash balances out the size

this is the 124270 right?

It looks too small to me.. I also have a 7" wrist and a 40m is my sweet spot. My wife has a 6" wrist and her DJ36 fits her great, when I try it on it looks and feels too small. I say go for the Explorer 39.

Looks great! I think this 36mm watch wears a little bigger than the explorer. Not sure why maybe it’s the fluted bezel?

I think it looks good. I've been wearing my 36mm Explorer lately, and it took me a couple days to get completely used to the size. My problem now is that when I go to put on my 39 - 40mm watches they feel gigantic. I can get used to any size, but don't really like swapping back and forth between different sizes.

It does looks small relative to your wrist imo. But i think this is obvious and possibly the look you’re going for.

As for “too small”, that is purely subjective.

My wrist is just under 7.25” and I absolutely love wearing my OP36. Doesn’t feel like it’s ever in the way and sits very comfortably

My wrist is 7.25 and I love a 36mm... I don't think yours looks small at all.

It looks perfect on your wrist. I have a similar wrist size and wear a 36mm as well.

No definitely not 36mm, unless you are going for that 60's vibe

IMO it looks fine. But you shouldn’t care what we think. Just curious, do you care what others think about your tattoos?

Good point.

Plus all the too small comments coming from members with less than 100 posts so the opinions don’t hold as much weight lol

I have same size wrist and have a 36DJ which I find to be too small for me personally. Giving it off to my daughter. I think it looks a bit small on you IMHO

114270 too small for a 7” wrist?

Not small, classic. Love that. I absolutely hate where watches have been going, they start to look like dinner plates on the wrist. 36-39 is the sweet spot IMO.

i have 6.25" wrists and wear 36" constantly. i think 7" is that grey area where beauty is in the eye of the beholder. much above that and yeah its too small for sure

Its a classic look, based on your ink, you have your own sense of style, which is great! Rock the vintage look.

It looks great on you. It’s a great iconic piece with vintage proportions but the best modern Rolex improvements. It is best to wear your watch than have your watch wear you. Frankly, too many folks wear watches that are too big for them.

Sure , it looks small, but it also looks fantastic and incredibly comfortable.

We are so used to seeing 40-44mm watches photographed on wide lenses from a distance of 8 inches that it’s warped our perspective on how watches look on our own wrist from a bent arms length away.

I’m guessing you wear it because you like the look, I know that watch is a classic and for a three hander it dosnt need to be any larger.
I know if I like the look of the new 124270 on my own 7 inch wrist I will be down sizing my own 214270 ……. I just prefer the way the explorer looks at 36mm.

I definitely much prefer the proportions on the 36exp which is why I went for it. I’ve owned the 39 twice
