box for submariner everything included plus warranty paper but no watch???

Hi everybody,

I may have a strange question, I found this on ebay

320374879756

it is a rolex submariner box with tags and the warranty paper without the watch.

That is to me just opening all types of doors for fraud? Doesn't it??? What are you doing with a warranty paper without the watch except if you intent to do something wrong with it, may be I am off here, and some people do collect warranty papers from Rolex but I feel that with all the fraud that is going on this is just bad stuff!!!

Just my opion, please feel free to comment positively or negatively, thanks everybody

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Your spot on with the potential to sell a fake with authentic box and extras, this has been discussed a few times in the past and we have also seen this on a few listing where all the accessories are 100% legit and a total fake sits in the box.

There is really nothing stopping someone from selling these items and every now and then you will see someone pop up just the warranty papers with serial and model down to the AD where the original watch was purchased. I see these items be certain sellers here in Australia all the time and they are 100% authentic and there are collectors out there grabbing them up.

I know just for personal reasons If I had lost my original box and bits I would probably replace them :-) but I would get paperwork from my AD to authenticate the watch.

I agree with I do not have a problem with the box and guides and even the tag, I just bought a box for my submariner from the 90 witch I got without the box and paperwork but if I am going to sell it I will disclose that this is a genuine rolex box but was not the original one, but with the warranty card that has the serial number on it totally diferent story. This is just a perfect way of deceiving people until they get the watch take of the band and try to match the serial with the paperwork but I do not think that everybody does that so basically they potentially they have a fake rolex, fake paperwork or both, discussting in my opinion, thanks again for the clarification

Another quick question, I have bought a lot of genuine rolexes without paperwork any way to get it, do you have to send them into rolex to get them certified or can that be done by an AD locally?

thanks Oliver

Best way to go is pop into an AD have the watch authenticated, might cost a bit of coin but worth it if your going to sell, the other way is a service, you get all the details on that paperwork which is also the warranty on the service :-)

It's exactly what I'm going to do with my T series Sub. Only way for me to really have a 100% comfort level that everything is legit. Even though I know it is. Guess that's part of the "madness" of these things...

I just want it to be clear that I am talking about having it authenticated by an RSC. The boxes would be nice too though.
