I am the only one?
That doesn’t like fluted bezels?
I love how they look on others, specially on females , My wife has a DJ with fluted bezel as part of her small collection and I love how it looks on her , a few friends have Skyd’s and they look good on their wrists but I don’t like them on my wrist , had a Blue Skyd and even though is one of the most desired watches and hard to get it didn’t last long because I never bonded with it . Today I had the chance to try a few models , and one of them was a Skyd TT with Jubilee and again didn’t like it , fluted bezel being the main reason. I guees It’s a matter of tastes . |

For me it’s a must have on DJ, DD or SkyD. Together with the cyclops it’s Rolex DNA

To each their own. From my circle 1/3 love the fluted bezel, 1/3 thinks its ok depending on config, and the remaining 1/3 feel its dated.

That is not my taste, I actually had a SS SkyDweller but gave it up, lot’s of reasons I won’t go in to here. BUT, i will always say it is a stunning watch and an incredible timepiece! Congrats and wear it in good health!!!!

My wife also has a fluted bezel(Rose gold) on her DJ that's 31mm diameter and I'm all good with it as the watch isn't very large and the bracelet is a Jubilee. There are also 10 nicely sized diamonds on a lovely White MOP dial.
All things considered including the size of the Cyclops it looks absolutely fine as a package. One main thing I take into consideration is the bracelet. If it's not a Jubilee, I'm not convinced it's a good match for a Fluted bezel. I'm also not a fan if the bezel overpowers the appearance of the watch on larger watches though I think a DJ 126331 is absolutely stunning. I am ok with a Skydweller which has a functional Fluted bezel. A Jubilee bracelet is just right on a Skydweller. If only the Skydweller came with a Sundust dial So I suppose I'm pro Fluted bezels as long as certain criterior are met Not wishing to go off topic but I have to mention for clarity. In contrast, I'm not necessarily a fan of smooth bezels either, as long as the bezel is not overly wide. To that, a DJ 41 has a nice sized Smooth bezel, but a DJ II is a little too much for my tastes. Old Seiko 5s seem fine to me, but my GS SBGW253 is just right to my eye as far as Smooth bezels are concerned, but the profile of the Crystal is also just right |

Much prefer a smooth bezel. Fluted feels a little fussy to me.

I much prefer non-fluted for my particular wrist. Fluted is too flashy and just generally clashes with my wrist and appearance. But some people can pull off the fluted very nicely and for those that do it looks great.

Fluted is the best!!!!
The only reason why I am not rocking a platinum DayDate right now is because it only comes with smooth bezel otherwise I would be an owner right now. |

I used to be a non-fluted person, but my SA whispered such sweet nothings about fluted bezels in my ear that I’m now all in for fluted bezels.

I agree with you ….I prefer smooth or “bald” look, only vintage 1601 I like the fluted bezel which is thin and discreet…today especially with the larger Datejust sizes, it looks so garish and out of place.

I was in this camp for a long time. Eventually I saw a 228206 with the ice blue quadrant dial Roman Sticks and had to have it (smooth bezel notwithstanding). Before I ordered it I wished it came in fluted, but that was a sacrifice I was willing to make. After having owned it for a while it has grown on me and I like the distinction from my 228235. Fluted bezel shouldn’t be on a sports watch or whatever a skyD is…..

I like them with a Jubilee or President, just smartens and dresses the watch up nicely in a good contrast to the sportier models. I also prefer it to the hobnail bezels you see on Calatravas etc, which are a bit old fashioned for me.

I really like the fluted bezel, but ONLY when pared with the Oyster bracelet. When combined with the Jubilee, it just looks horrendously busy to me, with the SkyDweller being the biggest culprit.

Fluted and Jubilee is a perfect pairing in my opinion.

I like the look of them, owned for a year, didn’t like wearing. I found I like Rolex because of the ceramic bezel. I also found it wears down a little over time, gets dull. IMO it is becoming an outdated look.

I too much prefer the non-fluted bezels, but there are some notable exceptions (ex: Day-Date)
