Sub with a rubber strap??

I have an LV sub and would like to see how a rubber strap would look on it. Has anyone done this?

Couldn't find many good pics on the web (the ones I could dig up are below), but in the 60's and 70's, rubber "tropic" style straps were factory options for Subs and Tudor Subs.
