Is a Sub solid enough?
Actually, I don’t care about this stupid question, my goal here is to draw attention on a specific subject: follow a First Aid Training, this might save a life!
It doesn't just happen in the movies, it can happen anywhere (at the grocery store, at the gas station,…). Obviously, as a doc, I already got trained, but nothing of what I’ve done is restricted to medical professionals! Rapidly diagnosing a cardiac arrest and starting a cardiopulmonary resuscitation is accessible to everyone, really! That’s what saved the life of this cyclist, found unconscious in the street as I came back home this Tuesday evening. The patient got back a spontaneous breathing and a sinusal rhythm after defibrillation (external electric shock) performed by the rescue team and is now doing fine (he got coronary stent). Here’s a pic of the watch I wore during the resuscitation. Btw, it was my birthday, how crazy and satisfying is that!! |
