116518 Newman Dial. Should I just buy gray or wait?
I have a relationship with two ADs in my area (SoCal).
Here's a breakdown of my limited history: AD #1 -bb58 -214270 -cartier tank solo AD #2 -about $15k in jewelry -126610LN AD #1 said they will work on getting it for me but it could be a while (it's been 6 months and they wouldn't give me a timeframe). It took 1 year to get the 214270 FWIW. I'm planning on asking AD #2 for the watch next time I'm in. I just fear the 116518 Newman dial will randomly getting discontinued... otherwise I'm OK waiting. Do you guys think I have enough history to get one in a year or so or should I just go gray?

Sounds like Ad #2 is should be able to do right by you. I’d tell them you want the watch. How long did you have to wait for the 126610?

Later that year when the 126610LN was introduced I walked in for a xmas present for my wife and they had one in the back for me. I couldn't decline twice!

I think it’s called Newman because of the contrast solid sub dials.

Not easy at AD but it’s obtainable with some wait time, I would rather get at MSRP.
