Drunk Watch Shopping

I like bourbon ...

On the odd occasion I might have a sippie poo too many.

This is why I am a proponent of a usb breathalizer to get in ablogtowatch/hodinkee/chrono24. Thankfully this site doesn't have a 'buy it now' option in the classifieds.

This one time I read this awesome article with a super interesting story about a quirky watch. A few clicks on chrono24 later it was ordered and I went to sleep.

I was al little taken aback when the box arrived. :)

The aforementioned article: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a-...o-rainbow-toad (their pics are a bit nicer than the real thing)

Funnily enough I have no regrets and I have grown fond of it. I don't know how to use it or if I'll ever actually wear it. But I think on a gloomy winter day I'll do a deep dive into it and figure it out. Thankfully it was a relatively inexpensive drunk click and somehow the prices for these have doubled since I bought it. But I don't want to sell it, I want to own my consequences. It is actually growing on me, the same way I thought my bulldog was a supermodel. :)

Share your shame if you have one.

There's nothing wrong with it, like I said I'm fond of it.

It's just something I'd have talked myself out of were I fully functional. In this case it turned out whimsical, from past experience it could have easily gone a different way. :)

I thought it'd be a fun topic premise.

I appreciate the support, I really do.

That said it’s all fun and games until someone ulysse nardin. :)

So no one else has made late night watch choices that have resulted in inspired or poor decisions?

I’ve seen alcohol destroy lives. I’ll stop there.

With that said, I’m always tempted to buy a G-Shock right before I go to bed when I’m totally sober.

One of these days, I’m going to…

What are your go to actually on the shelf attainable bourbons?

I’m a big Knob Creek guy love their 12 year and the 120 proof single barrels. Also have a 15 year but not convinced i like it more than the 12 especially at double the price.

Also love Elijah Craig barrel proofs but rarely see them by me and anything from Wild Turkey gets my thumbs up.
