Tudor BB Ceramic

Anyone added to the collection?

Looking for hands-on opinions as this might be going on the short list.

I think they are awesome, but haven't had an opportunity to try one on yet.

My AD had one. I tried it on, it’s a suburb watch. I loved the weight, color, contrast and fit
I didn’t pull the trigger as I want to add a grey side omega or zenith ceramic instead

I didn’t even know it existed and my SA pulled it out of the vault. Instantly in love. Looks better from the back. The movement is gorgeous and the bottom of the strap is inlaid with Tudor hands.

Super comfortable and IMHO the best blackout option I’ve seen in person. Bought it immediately.

I’ve tried it on a few times. There’s one that’s sat in my AD’s case for a couple weeks now.

It’s cool, but there are several other watches I’d rather have its retail price. I think Omega’s ceramic offerings are nicer. Although the movement in this one looked really sharp.

I think I would’ve liked the Tudor better if more of the watch were actually ceramic. The bezel if I recall correctly isn’t—and neither is the clasp. Bit of a missed opportunity. Could’ve made the dial ceramic, too.

Fit wise, it’s a great size for my wrist that’s somewhere between 6.5 to 7 inches.

If you really like the look of it, go for it, but be sure to try the Black Bay 58 range first! Much prefer them.

I bought this from Rolex AD while I was on holidays in Istanbul. They had it together with the Panda and Reverse Panda Tudor Chrono. Preferred the fit and the looks of this on my wrist, besides the Master Chronometer swayed me in it’s direction. Very stealthy looking, versatile and light weight. Only downside is I miss a date complication. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something that would slip under the radar.

The bezel ring is PVD coated stainless steel but the insert is ceramic so it’s scratch proof. The deploying clasp is stainless steel though. Omega’s offering is nearly twice the price and it’s a bulky 43.5 mm in diameter.

I quite enjoy mine, but it doesn’t get the wrist time that the Rolexes get.

A very nice looking piece, let down by the hybrid and Nato strap options.

These two massively improve wearability IMO -

This ^. Yes while the insert is ceramic, the bezel itself is PVD steel, as is the crown and clasp.

Personally I can't stand PVD/DLC parts, so while it's a good price compared to Omegas full ceramic offerings, it's still a big ol' pass from me. Even Longines have managed to do a full ceramic model, so I find PVD'd parts a bit of a cop out TBH. JMO.

The watch is super light and comfortable! I might consider adding it in the future but have a couple other pieces that I need to acquire first!

Def try it out in person!

Oh man, I scrolled into this and saw the stuff on the table and thought you cracked a lug! Really cool watch, direct sunlight pics show off another level of character.

Looks nice in person, its a pretty large watch especially being all black. To large for my 6.5 cm wrist

That EO Black Ops strap looks fantastic - so much so just bought one for mine.

Still wish someone would make a Rubber-B / Everest strap though.

Yes, but have you SEEN that longines? Yikes, not for me. Too many hits with an ugly stick.

Luckily, to me, the parts that are important are ceramic (case, insert). But I agree with you, it's irritating that everything isn't ceramic. Crown and bezel are easily replaced at service, and probably relatively inexpensive as well, but you still have to live with until service it if its all scratched up and unsightly.

This looks fantastic. I gotta agree with you that the OEM straps look pretty crap, I'll definitely be looking for a couple different options when I pick mine up.

The hybrid leather/rubber strap looks really uncomfortable, can anyone comment?

It's not uncomfortable, it's a nice strap, but quite rigid on the wrist.

For me, it's the gap between the strap and the case that throws it - there must be some reason they did that as it is not the same as all the other 41mm BB models - which is why you can't buy a Rubber-B or Everest for it, apparently the position of the spring bar holes is different.

Looks like they found it in the charred rubble of a house fire.
