Analysis Paralysis!

Looking for my first (and maybe last? Famous last words...) Grand Seiko. I am suffering from analysis paralysis! Here is the short list:

SBGA413 - Loves: the dial; the 62GS case; the sword-style hands. Dislikes: older movement; thicker.
SBGA211 - Loves: my first-love; the dial; handset. Dislikes: size.
SBGA407 - Loves: the dial; handset. Dislikes: lack of bracelet.
SLGY007 - Loves: the dial; the cleanliness of the dial, no PR, etc.; handset; new movement. Dislikes: the case (not my favorite, dislike may be harsh...); lack of WR (may be dispositive).
SLGH005 - Loves: the dial; new movement; clean dial, PR on back; dimensions. Dislikes: handset (prefer the old hands, still gorgeous though); 22mm lugs.

So, if you were in my shoes, what would you go for? I swear, every day I go a different direction...

413. Older movement doesn’t matter. 62gs case is a classic. One of the best dials in the modern lineup. Very versatile. Not really that thick. The bezel-less sapphire crystal adds to the dimensions but the case itself wears thinner than the dimensions. (Some of the 44GS style cases are actually as thick as advertised, but not this one IMO)

Whichever one you get I can almost assure you it won’t be your last! My pick would be the SLGH005 but you really need to see it in person first if at all possible to make sure it’s for you. The polished hands and indices against the backdrop of that dial is just out of this world.

Funny enough, these are the 2 at the top of my list. I think I'm leaning towards the SBGA413, but the movement in the SLGH005 is amazing!

Snowflake. It’s the quintessential GS.

I've got the SBGA407 as a dress watch. I actually wore it instead of my 2020 Datejust 41, Blue, stick, jubilee. It's a beautiful watch and I like the variation of a leather strap. I think next GS I'll buy is the SBGJ201 GMT though I'm currently on the waiting list for a Sub ND first. (I'd post a photo of I knew how!)

413. The looks are very different to most other offerings and I find the case much more interesting than the new 007 or 005. There's something very very special about the 62GS case. It's like nothing else out there.

Then there's the price - the 413 is a bargain compared to the new models. Personally I don't put much weight on the movement aspect, although the new ones are stunning. You do pay for that though
