New OP36 no love?

With all the hype about the OP41 I am thinking the 36 is probably a better fit for me anyways. Are the 36s easier to find?

How about some 36mm wrist shots?

Thanks!

Infinite love for the new 36mm OP. In fact, I think it’ll age much better than the 41. 41 looks like a dinner plate on most wrists, and has way too much empty space. OP is a classic watch, and IMO, proportionately better at a classic size.

my AD says that 36-mm OP demand is approaching and exceeding 41-mm because it is a bit more well proportioned and trends may be moving away from larger dials.

Heard the same from two ADs, and the rationale was that it appeals to both men and women.

Have seen the 41mm once while in Miami. It looked too big.

Interesting as it's 39.5mm.

Pretty sure all the new OP 36's are going for double retail or more...so they are getting plenty of love, just like every single modern steel Rolex.

36 hot colours not easier to find (in Canada anyway). I had an 18K spend this Fall at AD on non Rolex items. Still waiting for one.

The new OP 41 does look a tad too large in many wrist shots I’ve seen lately. I absolutely love the new colors though. I think the old 39 size with the new colors would be perfect. It’s sort of a non-issue because I can’t get a yellow or turquoise OP right now and I certainly would not turn down a 41!

Love the 36. Not that easy but easier than the 41.

The 36 is on of my favourite watches. Very versatile and really solid. I certainly loved mine.

I think all the non-professional 40mm+ watches look weird and although I’m a big-wristed fellow, I much prefer their 36mm brethren on proportions alone. If it were up to me I’d make all OP, datejust, and day date in 37.5mm and scrap the rest!

I thought that until I wore a white birch gs vs a dd40. The dd40 is smaller. The dd40 is smaller than most omegas too. The op 41s fine rock it if you want.

I tried them on side by side and the 36 looks way better imho.

I chose the 36 over the 41 and just prefer the look on my 7inch wrist

That size is increasingly popular with the female market. With this plus the bright colours, it’s no surprise the 36 is popular.

I much prefer the feel of the 36 op on my wrist over the 2021 36mm explorer. The bracelet is more comfortable and feels less intrusive on the wrist.

My wife prefers this one to the more recently introduced colours. I concur. We managed to grab it out of our AD's vault just before the new OP launch. Lucky catch.

Agree especially with those bright colored dials.

I prefer the 36 here. While probably not a popular opinion, I would have liked a 38 and scrapped both the 36 and 41.

the case size is actually 39.5mm instead of 41mm.

Good to know. But in all honesty, it wears very much all of 41mm. Think it’s due to all the empty space on the dial.
