Is that Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Moonwatch Moonshine Gold 42mm Limited Series?
Oh well both are gorgeous, which one you preferred, take that one. But I preferred RG Daytona with full bracelet over both of them.

Yes the limited edition 1,014 piece special edition version. I’m kinda torn. I do love the color of the moonshine edition but also feel weird taking a piece away from the rolex collection

Are you kidding me? Of course I would trade. There will only be 1014 of those Omega 310.60.42.50.99.001 2019 Speedmaster Apollo XI watches. I do like Speedmasters, and all of my watches don't have to be Rolex. So I would do this trade because there is no way the Omega boutique would sell me one. However in the words of another watch collector, you should never sell a Daytona. I would think long term collectability of an intact complete set for this Omega watch will be something I would trade for and put away.

I'm not generally a fan of the Daytona, but in this case I'd be keeping it 100%.
I AM usually a huge Speedmaster fan, and I know it's essentially a reissue of the very first solid gold Speedie from 1969 (and I know I'll be in the minority here!)..... but I personally think the "Nixon" Speedmaster colourway is hideous. I'd be keeping the Daytona. |

Had to look up the Omega. Man Omega has a bunch of limited edition Speedys
Limited edition this and limited edition that. Hasn’t Omega drained all they can out of the “First Watch to go to the moon” Guess that’s why I don’t own any Omegas As to your question. Guess it would depend on which OF model you have. WG, YG, RG and what dial.

I know right. Like jeez Omega ease up a tad on the so called “limited editions”
You only make 100 different limited editions each year Guess Rolex is just as bad with constant minor cosmetic changes as a “new model” but I prefer it that way. Looks like we’ve took this post on a whole other different spin. So back to the original question what OF model do you have again

I’m guessing there’s something about the OF Daytona you don’t like based on your other thread asking about trading it on a YG DD.
So YG DD or this Omega I’d say neither

I actually do really like it. I have the rg with rose dial. Most likely I will play the waiting game with AD and then if I get offered another Daytona make the decision if and when that happens. Maybe it’s just that thought of we like what we don’t have and I keep thinking about a full yellow gold piece. I can’t picture myself having or justifying more than a handful of watches so picking and choosing that ultimate 5 watch collection without foreseeing the future is tough. Ok maybe 5-7 :)

I’m a Speedmaster fan, but more into the standard models and vintage versions. I don’t get the need to use precious metals or limited editions. I get the charm of the Ed White in steel. But I passed when I was offered one since I think it’s too far removed from a traditional Speedy.
So I would sell the Daytona and get a regular 1861 Hesalite Speedy instead and use the money for something entirely different. |

Financially speaking you would be trading a horse for well …. a donkey, perhaps? WG Oysterflex will fetch you somewhere between 40 and 45 k and Apollo XI between 35 and 40 k. My belief is Apollo XI is well undervalued and in course of time would significantly rise. I recently got one at 35 k all stickered. A marvellous watch. Just clasp is a bit weird - a bit tiny in respect to the watch head. Otherwise it is a masterpiece. So, make the swap, but at current market you have to get as well at least 5 k. All figures quoted in EUR.

As much as I like speedys no, but I’m more partial towards the new Ed White (in both metals) & Silver Snoopy.

Actually I think it's good trade because OF Daytona is still in production but this Omega was limited and the best so far, it's really good to have it in collection.

Would you trade oysterflex Daytona for Omega Speedmaster Moonshine…
I actually do like this omega and funny enough didn’t know it had such a silly name. Still I wouldn’t be likely to make this trade.

Yes absolutely trade for that.
They won’t make another one like it. It’s a great looking watch, a collectible. But most likely not a watch to ever wear IMO. All of the features, the 11 o’clock index, the footprint and quote on the reverse. There’s a million Daytonas out there on the second hand market. Just not at an AD new. |

I wouldn't and I'm a big fan of the Moonwatch. Candidly i would just pick up a Hesalite version for ~$5k and have both.

Definitely not. For some reason I can’t enjoy any watch besides a Rolex. I’ve tried AP, PP,Omega,Breitling,Tudor,Tag,Cartier,IWC etc… but none of them do anything for me like a Rolex does. it’s just a feeling I get. So I wouldn’t trade a Rolex for anything unless I could make money on the flip side and get back into Rolex. Prob sounds dumb to most here but just my thinking haha. Also Rolex daytona in any variation is my favorite.
