The anticipation is the fun part…

Well, taking delivery is also pretty exciting, and I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a 5 digit sub date. This is a watch I have long admired, and after owning (and selling) several Rolex watches over the years (including an old school 90s bluesy and SubC), I finally landed the one that I probably should have bought years ago.

Great piece, congratulations

Actually it was when I realised that the anticipation is the fun part (or a lot of it) that I started looking more at other brands

Congrats. You are absolutely right; the waiting part of the process only makes the acquisition part more rewarding and meaningful.

You are correct, anticipation by far the best part. Congrats on that beauty.

Huge congrats, it's a terrific watch. I remember seeing them for years in dealer showcases from 2000-2011, but never pounced on one because I was happy with the 16600 Sea Dweller I had purchased for myself in 2005. I finally 'righted this wrong', lol, by acquiring one last summer. And I am 100% thrilled with it, too. You're going to love this watch!
