My boring or classic? Rolex+ collection

Here are some of my most classic looking pieces. I snuck an SLA037 in there too. Sometimes I love the timelessness of these pieces. Other times I feel an urge for everything to be the ceramic shiny new colorful sunburst dial etc. piece. So I’m in a relatively frequent shift between thinking these are perfect and classic on the one hand, and somewhat boring on the other. And when I start to think boring I have to tell myself I’m a moron and am probably getting influenced by the hype.

Each piece has its own very interesting aspects and aesthetics. As a collection, if these pieces individually and collectively bring you even a spark of joy- keep at it!!!!

It’s what you like plus there are pieces quite similar to trade if you choose to in the future. Mine are all very similar, even get the odd shot at them for it but they’re mine and I love them all.

Nice collection! It's clear what you like.
Maybe add in something with color for fun.

You bought each piece for a reason. Don’t second guess your reasons for buying them. That is an enviable box of watches. If it was me and I was going to make a change I would buy a bigger box.

On the top level, it looked like a lot of overlap. When I looked closer, each piece had subtle differences that made it its own.

You know what you like, and you seem to have narrowed in on it. It's not my traveled road, but it makes sense. Well done.

Great collection! Nothing wrong with that collection at all all very iconic classic pieces.

In OP's defence the SLA037 can look black in some pics but when the light hits it its pretty vibrant

It's a nice collection containing some great classic time pieces. However for the average person, it will undoubtably be beyond boring and overlapping - lets be real

What matters it that you enjoy it

As long as the collection makes you happy; that is the only thing that matters! Love that white OP - such a great watch!

Really nice collection

If you want to add something fun and not break the bank … maybe a Doxa or Seiko diver for some color

Very nice collection, but since you asked, I would find a collection of only white and black dials to be a bit boring.
You need some color in there. Some blue. Some green. Anything! Haha

Nothing boring about it brother

All I have is mostly black dials. But 1 Chocolate, 1 white and 1 in blue

I love black dials. We like what we like and I know you have others lurking.

Not boring at all. And it may make easier to tell the wife that that-one-was-already-there.

Absolutely, great collection but needs some color. Too much Stainless Steel and black dials for my taste.

Great collection. Agree with others that if you do decide to add something else in future you have lots of opportunity to be adventurous given you have the conservative option sorted.

That’s my style as well, I’m not big on funky colored dials. Black, white, silver or gray for me. I think your collection is awesome

You have a nice collection, the Subs and the explorer are great watches and I expect the 5 digit models will shoot up in price...Personally I would trade the DJ and OP and add some vibrant colors to the collection.

The collection looks harmonious, very well done. Boring does not cross my mind.

Classic pieces are not a problem at all but personally I would long for some more color. Black and white go with anything but there’s nothing wrong with a bit of color.

Is a bit boring as a collection but each watch is classic if that makes sense. Personally I would diversify a bit into some coloured dials/maybe go for fewer but add a big hitter or two.
