Vacheron Incoming

I decided to pull the trigger on a mint condition VC 5500 and couldn’t be more happy about it. Huge shoutout to Takuya for helping me out with this piece. I love it.

I’m a big fan of PP, AP and Rolex but at the current prices… let’s just say they are for someone else at the moment.

VC on the other hand, great history, amazing movement, three straps included, beautiful dial. I think it’s a no brained considering how the marketing is right now. If you own a VC, don’t be shy and post your pics/comments.

Huge congrats! Looks great. Love that dial for the chrono. I may be a contrarian, but I also don't mind the placement of the date window at 4:30 either. I briefly considered it, but did feel it was just a little too thick for my 6.5" wrist and went with the simple three hander.

How did you decide, 3 hander, DT, Chrono. I love your look but thought too large for me. Enjoy your new beauty

I have recently discovered VC and it is definitely worth a look aside from usual crowd of PP and Rolex. Not sure why I waited this long to take a closer look at VC.

Congrats! 5500V is a beautiful dial. That watch doesn't have a bad angle to view. Look closely at the sub dials. They are trimmed in high polish where they are sunken. VC will continue to show you things you didn't notice as you own it.

I’m definitely smitten by this piece. I do have some 3 handed and dual time pieces in my collection, but this creamy black with white dials just sings for me. I will be inspecting the watch closely to see what else does it reveal. Thanks for taking the time to post your comments.

Congrats, my favourite dial for the 5500V!

Is it fitted with protective stickers?

If it's within the original 2 years warranty, be sure to register it to extend a further 6 years!

Congrats and wear it in health! Love the current gen lines of VCO, from the simple 3 hand to your chrono. Should out to the seller as well. Thanh is great guy, one of the best and trusted sellers here at TRF.

Congrats buddy!

I had a very similar reasoning like you and this is the watch to get for people with larger wrists. For the Chrono I actually prefer it to the blue dial, I like the contrasting small dials, compared to the blue on blue. But its a close call, both are great in their own way. It's actually not trading very far above retail either, its been one for sale here in HK for a month now at 15-20% over retail.

My one says hi from HK

Just fantastic think out of all the recent Overseas line that combo is my favorite followed by the blue DT.

I believe that thanks to this post I’ve realized two things:

1. I’m getting old.
2. I need new glasses.

If you don’t point out the stickers, I wouldn’t have picked up on them. :)
Those were factory stickers.

I can’t thank you enough for sending over the link to get the extra warranty. Done and done.

Great piece, definitely a watch for all occasions. I do have other Chronos which I really love but are too flashy for work, I had to buy another watch to wear to the office lol
