ADs with Parts Accounts?

Does anyone know of AD’s with parts accounts? I’m looking to purchase a caseback for a 116500. I called RSC in Beverly Hills and was told that they could sell one but they’d have to take my original as parts are on an exchange basis.

I’ve read mixed rumors a while back that Rolex pulled parts accounts from independent watchmakers w/o CW21 certifications and that most ADs don’t have parts accounts now. So, I am curious to know if anyone knows an AD (California) that might still have a parts account and can order a caseback without having to exchange my original.

Agreed, but that doesn’t mean they will sell you one without keeping yours.

Nor does it mean they'll allow you to do the work.

In order to keep a parts account, shops have to adhere to the Motherships rules about selling those parts.

Right that was what I wanted to do. Called a few ADs with parts accounts and they all seemed to say that the watch would need to come in for a full service/ they would have to keep my original caseback.

Some parts have to be sent to Rolex first for exchange, so this era are history when you keep your old part. Only possible if the AD have
the parts in stock since the time when Rolex don't ask for the old parts.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.
