AP CA Boutique Experience
Hi - I live in CA and I wanted to see whether anyone has had the chance to visit either of the CA boutiques and what your experience is like there?
An SA from the Hampton store tells me that they no support remote purchases and suggested that I visit a boutique for future inquires. Anyone else hear the same? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They are doing the same in Switzerland. AP will no longer be selling through ADs. Instead shifting sales through boutiques only. Zurich just opened its new boutique as well. They are inviting as many people in as they can so that they can capture the list of customers previously with the ADs. (a clever way of snatching that very valuable "soft" intellectual property). I visited the Zurich store after showing interest via their website (ages ago).
The experience of visiting it was great, I must say. I've never been to a boutique quite like that; and for anyone passing through Zurich, I would highly recommend the visit. It felt more like a wework meets swanky bar than a watch store. In fact, I didnt see a single watch in there. I would imagine that other boutiques might have a similar vibe. have fun. |

I also live in the Bay Area and have visited both the SoCal and Vegas AP dealers and/or now boutiques.
Experiences were fine, if you temper expectations of getting a RO anytime soon. They'll happily talk about the brand, your interests, and capture your info but good luck getting anything outside of a Code for your first purchase. (Even those have a wait at this point, although a piece or two seem to trinkle in if you don't have a specific dial or complication preference). In terms of a remote purchase, unsure but a friend of mine did have to fly in to the Vegas boutique to purchase a piece that was allocated to him. Whether that is due to his modest 'status' or a store policy do not know. Hope they open a boutique around our parts in the next couple years. |
