Rolex 18238 W.O luminous -

I am purchasing a 1995 DD 18238 YG with Black dial and I noticed the watch does not have luminous dots. It has sticks, but no luminous marks of any kind on the dial.

The merchant says the dial is original to the watch.

Did Rolex make black dials like this ?

Thank you
