Should you polish watch

I am aware of both sides of this argument, no to maintain value as polishing a watch refers to removing a layer of the watch’s surface, which can alter shape, etc.

So my question is -- is there a buffing, or light polish or other safer option to get rid of scratches, swirls, rubbing marks that professionals can do?

Again, making it clear when asking that you are not looking for a full on polish.

Saw a you tube on that question. Search and you can find, says to use a #4 finger nail buffer stick. I have a new 124060 and used it to remove light scratches. Works fantastic!

With todays mainly pampered Rolex watches the only polishing they need is at normal routine RSC service only,which now depending on use around every 5-10 years. The sure way to ruin a Rolex watch is wanting to polish every time you see the slightest mark or scratch.All they need in-between is regular washing in soap and water rinse well after,then dry with any clean cotton type lint free cloth.
