The Yachtmaster 42 has a glossy dial instead of a matte dial. Why??

One of the nicest things about the YM40 in RG is the black dial is matte, it fits so well with the matte ceramic bezel. The glossy dial on the YM42 looks alright but it doesn't work as well with the matte bezel. I prefer 42mm over 40mm but this stylistic change doesn't make sense to me. Is anyone else annoyed by this?

I guess the numerals on the bezel are polished so maybe it matches there?

Good question I have no idea. It could be as simple as no reason at all. Maybe it would have been too much, from photos it appears that ROLEX and the crown are in rose gold on the dial. Maybe too much gloss wouldn't look too great.
