15407 Open Work Discontinued?

Heard that this has been discontinued? Anyone have any info on that?

Recently got it, and wondering if I got one of the last pieces (which would be great).

Still on the site and hope it continues to be in production! My grail of grails!

Yes, still there. They released the Jumbo for the 50th. I’m not sure if this replaces the 15407 or sits next to it in the collection.

Had an appointment few days ago, and was told the the royal oak openworked pieces have been discontinued (even though they are still on the website).

I was with AP a couple of weeks ago and we discussed an open worked model that I was promised for next year. Nothing was mentioned about it being discontinued. That said, given AP's new RO bracelet designs it's entirely feasible that a 15407 variant will be reborn with a new bracelet and new reference.

There's been speculation about the 15500 being discontinued and of course we know that the 15510 is its replacement, but the 15500 is still being shipped to customers, so even if the open worked range is discontinued that doesn't mean that it won't still be shipped for many months yet.

If we've learned one thing from this year it is that we know nothing until it's confirmed by AP directly...remember the releases on April 15th? lol.

I really hope they do discontinue the double balance models, didn’t really enjoy them using that caliber across such a wide range of references

Was watching a video where a dealer said this just got discontinued. Are they getting actually discontinued or just getting a new reference number?

Even if it’s discontinued, I highly doubt they will stop making open worked RO’s. They’ll just update the movement / reference

Yeah, Apr 15 was a total flop, but ironically that date did come from AP (Friedman? FHB?) themselves.

I'm hoping they'll continue the double-balance wheel movement in a 39mm+ format for a a few years (until I get mine ).

Edit: Oops, didn't notice GS93108's post was 2 months old.

I hope they don't make it like the 16202 openwork. I actually think the 15407 looks better than what they did there.

I hope they didn't. I've asked for a CE version for it for next year. I've reached out to my SA, so we'll see.
