How much gold in a TT

My EDC is a 5-digit TT Sub.

I know the mid-section on the locking bar on the clasp is gold plated because it's only gold on one side. The indices I assume are solid gold as well as the hands.

What about the two tone bracelet (steel and solid gold?), the bezel and the crown?

First of all, everything Rolex uses I believe has 18 karat. Somebody correct me please if I’m wrong. Also I forget exactly, but there was a post like this, and I think the consensus was it’s a few hundred dollars worth of gold.

Depending on model the TT Rolex watches have a average weight of between 15-23 grams of 18CT gold that's with all original bracelet links.

Which would equal approximately +/- $700-$1,000 USD (15-23g x $45).

That's what Millenary Watches say, but I seriously doubt it. Doesn't sound right. There's about 30g weight difference between a 126610 and a 126613. So there's got to be more than 30g in gold in the solid links bracelet. We need to subtract the weight of the SS center links before doing the difference between the two watches to find the actual weight of the gold. My educated guess is around 55-60g of 18ct gold. Still not much, granted.

Edit:
Proof with a basic double unknown equation:
So, a 126610 weighs around 150g, a 126613 around 180g, I'm rounding numbers to keep it simple.

X = weight of SS Sub without center links
Y = weight of SS center links
Z = weight of gold center links = 2.5*Y (gold weights about 2.5 times as much as steel, rounding up slightly)

X + Y = 150 -> X = 150 - Y
X + Z = 180 -> X + 2.5Y = 180
-> 150 - Y +2.5Y = 180
-> 1.5Y = 30
-> Y = 20g
-> Z = 2.5Y = 50g

This would be true for 18ct gold. If we want to know for 24ct gold, we'd end up with 37.5g of gold in the bracelet (75% of 50g).

Not counting the gold crown and gold bezel on top of bracelet, maybe another 8g difference compared to SS?

So 58g of 18ct gold or 43.5g of pure 24ct gold in a TT Sub with full links bracelet, give or take.

That’s a lot of math to say total scrap 18k gold value is $2,593.44

MSRP 610/$10,100
MSRP 613/$14,700

To each his own, but the Bluesy is the choice I’d make.

Saves us from having to dismount the gold center links in order to weigh them.

I also prefer the Bluesy, but there's more gold in the TT SD43 and it's cheaper preowned. A better value proposition .

My quote was for the 5 digit series watches as OP has a 5 digit series watch,and not a 6 digit series watch.

Oh I see, in that case yes.

The 16613 with hollow links weighs 150g vs 135g for the 16610. There's about 26g of 18ct gold (equivalent of 20g of pure 24ct gold).

Weight total difference is 15 grams which would doubt to being 26 grams of 18Ct gold.

Well logical answer seeing gold is a quite a dense and heavy metal compared to SS, the extra weight of 15 grams would be down to the gold weight in centre links and bezel.
