While I prefer coca-cola, I got a different kind of Pepsi today
Really rough week at work. Was in our common area having a conversation when my phone vibrates, I look down, and the AD is calling.
"I have a surprise for you...and it's blue and red". Yep...my heart and time seemed to stop. "When can you be here?" 20 minutes was my response! I hadn't been by in quite a while. Really nice people, but I didn't want to bug them about a watch that has seemed impossible for me to get. In fact, I'd been looking at Chrono24 daily for the last couple of years trying to see if the price was dropping because I never thought I'd get one at retail. I had decided to stop by on Monday of this week for just a quick chat. No one else there and was able to speak with my SA. She remembered me right away and remembered I wanted a Pepsi. She reiterated how hard they were to get and that she would keep me in mind. And then I got the call. Initial thoughts: Love the jubilee bracelet. My first one. I have a Sky Dweller and a Sub and love them both. This is much lighter than the Sky Dweller. The ceramic bezel looks dramatically different in different light. I like how dark the blue is. The whole thing just really pops in the sunlight. I didn't realize that to set the date you have to move the watch hands (no date set). That took a little while, but that's no big deal. I had initially expressed interest in 2020. I could have done a better job following up. Anyway....it all worked out in the timeline it was meant to. Hope you all enjoy the pic. |

Very nice. Congratulations.
I have it on Oyster but having just got a watch on Jubilee, I'll be getting one for the BLRO. |

Congratulations, it’s one of my favorites for sure
Yes, it doesn’t have a quick set date … just means you have more time to enjoy setting it |

Very cool! Two year wait, not too bad I guess. What kind of purchase history did you have there?

Great watch isn't it?! Congrats.
The date is set by the hour hand only. This is by design and can move forward or backward. When you travel the hour hand moves to your new timezone while the GMT hand is set to "away". Rotate the bezel and you have three timezones. Enjoy, |
