2 AD offers in the past month

Was offered a twotone seadweller from one AD, and a RG 40mm yachtmaster black dial (i am waiting for the chocolate dial) from another. No spend history at either.....just inquired about certain models. Be patient, they are coming!

Indeed - you're supposed to buy them immediately to prove the extent of your 'relation$hip'

My AD uses the TT Sea Dweller as a litmus test to weed out buyers.

Guys keep in mind YMMV

There are some A D's that act like "every" Rolex is made out of unattainium. We have nothing blah blah so to be offered 2 watches isnt as much of a no big deal as you say. FWIW the RG YM is a nice watch IMO and maybe not the dog portrayed here. The TT SD? Meh

Just sayin

I’ve asked multiple AD’s recently for the blue sky-dweller and they’ve only said, “forget about it”…

I wouldn't call the TT SD a 'dog' either, it would appeal to anyone who wanted a larger TT 'Sub'. But it's definitely not one of the 'hot' models.

There was a time not too many months ago when to be offered anything was unheard of and now a new guy makes a contribution to to the conversation by sharing his experience and a buncha guys say NBD.

Nice.

Well, I have a spend history at my AD, and I've been waiting on a stainless SD43 for over 1.5 years. Still nothing.

I considering broadening my horizons, and trying another AD.

Frankly, unless you really love either one of those models, which is great, you were smart to pass. Why buy something so expensive if it doesn't sing to you?

I think the TT SD43 is an attractive model but like anything else you have to have the right wrist size for it.

“Offered” lol.

I don’t know why AD’s don’t just throw those models in the case. Let people walk in and build relationships with them.

Daytona steel, Pepsi and sky-dweller blue dial aka those models witch were also hot in 2018 and off cause all the meteorite dials and some others. But you get my point.

Just got a no date sub in 3 weeks. Was offered explorer 2 both Colors, new airking, deepsea, sea-dwellers and most datejust that day i ordered it. Had them all in the back?

Tried a Black daytona steel, Pepsi on oyster and gmt roseguld. All sold. But there were 6-8 months wait on those. It’s all about relationship.

Well said Anthony I’ve spent a reasonably large sum over the last 5 years with my AD And the only watch I’ve ever bought or been offered at the time that sold significantly over retail was A ss sub a few months ago.

I don’t get offered things I haven’t asked for either, never have done. I still visit frequently they’re nice people so pop it from time to time if I’m passing.

I really like the rg ym personally and would consider it but the ss sd43 is the king of steel watches for me I feel the sub is better suited to the TT, than the sea dweller.

Still to many flippers walking in everyday trying to make a profit even on those “unsexy” models. But my AD said it cooled off with these models.

If it’s taken them a year and a half, they are telling you they have no plans on getting you a watch. That’s not a difficult watch to get. It’s certainly not a year and a half difficult.
