WTH is going on?

Obviously I'll be heading to a watchmaker to look at this issue. Likely independent for speed and ease unless it's a tricky issue, then back to my AD.

My Black Bay GMT (purchased January 2019), for the past week or so has been running erractically. It's pretty much my daily wearer, apart from weekend G-Shocking.

Even done a full wind daily and multiple times a day, around 60-70 winds.

But it doesn't hold power and after a few hours it just dies and needs winding to start up again.

Have checked with the Lepsi app for magnetism, but nothing is showing up. I'm no pro though.

Anyone any ideas?

Sounds like a mainspring problem to me. Is it not in warranty still? I can’t remember what the Tudor warranty length.

I think it might still be under warranty. 5yrs I think.

I thought it was. So you’re still under warranty so I would send it in to Tudor. Yeah it will take longer but could end up saving you a solid chunk of money.

PR issues point to issues us independents may have an issue resolving with no parts access. This one may unfortunately be best served going into Tudor.

Yes, send it to Tudor. I would also recheck the magnetism first with a good watch repair person. That is a simple fix.

Send it to RSC. The Tudor mainspring is Silicone and can’t be magnetized

It's definitely a problem with the calibre.

Not so known as the "slow date change/stuck" problem because people can have the watch for years and never realize it because the way of wearing it or resting it.

My favorite Tudor P01 Commando had it.

It took me a month and extensive daily testing to nail it.

When I leave it with a crown up or dial down stops although it is fully wound (40 full 360 wounds) from 3 to 10 hours after wounding.

So, if I left my watch dial up I would never understand it.

When I swung it and started again, it continued and exhausted all 70 hours of its autonomy.

I feel sorry for you OP and i am almost sure that Tudor will replace the whole calibre.

Could be the auto wind module. If the reversing wheels aren’t functioning properly it can cause a fully wound movement to stop.

Once you get it back, I'd stop winding it daily and several times a day. That could have contributed to your problem
