A fascinating long story on reincarnation....

I've always been interested in the phenomena and have had a past life regression a number of years ago. Do I believe it. Not sure.

Interesting read, not sure how I feel about it. Seems as though Ma tin never changed, being reborn a female, I imagine would be so that they could accept life and understand why being rude to women is wrong having experienced life as a woman in the present. And serving a supporting role in a community versus a military to absolve past transgressions.


Seems like a waste being given a second chance just to do your best to recreate your past life. I'm certainly not in complete disdain with my past, but given another chance I would hope to become of more use to society.

Realistically, if I were in Ma's shoes, I'd be doing everything I could to be the best person I could be regardless of the vessel I was given in life. In the end we all die the same death, and majority of us are never going to be given a second shot at life, much less the awareness that we've been here before I imagine. Seems a shame that they were so unhappy with their body that they were unable to accept what an amazing opportunity was presented.(although that very well could've changed after leaving the village)

That's a long story, I've read the first bit of it.

It's intriguing.

I don't believe in reincarnation as a general rule if only because most people seem to have been a King or Princess or someone famous. Rarely do you hear (as in this story) of a common folk coming back.

I think that there is much in this world that is unknown and/or doesn't fit into our current understanding of life, science, our four or five dimensions, and the universe itself. What we know as consciousness may have many variations and implications that we are not yet aware of.

In a spiritual/religious way I feel like this would make sense.

Being rebirthed to experience life as a commoner after descending from royalty would be a humbling experience before entering the afterlife.

It was mentioned in the article that this case could've been a cover story for a person experiencing gender dysphoria or was just transgender as well in a society that didn't accept it. I am rather curious if they would've identified less with the "past life" had society been more accepting/open to non gender conforming individuals at the time.

I didn’t get to be Cleopatra.

My past life regression, I was a ten year old kid who along with my mother and 2 sisters was massacred on the Mongolian steppes while traveling in some kind of cart by men on horseback. And I was really angry that my father was not there to protect us.

And in this life as a young person I never got along well with my father probably through no fault of his own. I was just angry at him.

No idea if it's true or just mental brain farts.

I have heard of past life regressions being able to help people with some phobias such as heights, fear of plane crashes, fear of horses, fear of dogs etc etc. Not just fear, but terrified of them.

And after a regressions where they had a terrible encounter with said experience in a past life, they didn't really have the fear again.

Again, not sure.

I have always had a connection to Art Deco and the 1930s…. I can’t explain why, I just feel like I belong. I went to see a past-life psychic. Without me saying a word, she told me I was alive in the 1930s, as a young (un married) man, and I was killed as a service member during WWII.

I don’t have violent nightmares or memories of getting killed in WWII, but I have always been drawn to the military, and being alive in the 1930s with my own small apartment; I can almost have memories of that.

I don’t have a position on it. But Oasis singer Liam Gallagher (born in 1972) once told his brother Noel that he was John Lennon reincarnated. I’m not usually a maths guy…

I feel it's more likely that we're all living in a hyper-advanced virtual reality game (or project) and those past life memories are residual memories of previous roles/participations. This theory also rationalises every other aspect of our existence (i.e. you can say it's all "part of the game/project".)
