Can you expand your question a little, les h, so that we may be able to give you a good answer.

I expect they will give you a price, wether it will be a good one or not is another matter. Bit like a car deal your best bet is probably a private sale. What type of watch have you got or going to go after?

A well known dealer offered me £1200 on the spot for my COSC 14060m when I enquired after a different watch. He must have assumed that I :

A. Needed to lose the 14060 to afford the new watch.
B. Had $hit for brains.

It's lucky he didn't lose 50% of his brass balls.

Oh, you're talking complete watches. I thought you were asking about parts - I know I should RTFQ. My AD took my 10 yr old 16710 in towards a 116710LN and the price he gave me was almost exactly what I paid for it. I was happy with the transaction. As stated above I could have gotten more in a private sale - but hey I am lazy and not a salesman. Good luck and welcome to TRF.

I have a Date Just 1990 with champagne face I wanted to know if all Rolex AD would part exchange for a new Date Just, or do they only sell new watches.

yes an AD would offer an exchange for a new style but beware they will probably offer very little for it. I heard that someone was offered £700 for a 1990s bi-colour dia dot datejust against a new version!!!! suffice to say he will never set foot in that AD again.

Wow! Sounds like another insulting AD that deserves a swift kick in the nu*s. See Pauls post above.
