My generous wife!

Hello all,

I am just so blown away that I just felt the need to show off & share with you how fortunate I am.

Last month I informed my wife of how much I enjoyed driving her MB SLK 32 AMG. We bought it as a promotion present for her. She drives her Toyota Highlander 3 days a week & 2 days for the MB. I own a Toyota Tacoma & it is my daily driver. I drive her MB on some weekends, but I’ve always thought of it has as hers.

Two weeks ago, I again told her that I enjoy her little car & that I hope to own a MB sedan later on. Since all our cars are paid off & that we are debt free (other than the mortgage), I thought that the possibility would be good for maybe next year. She stated that it would be feasible & it would be nice to have a sedan.

I retired from the military in April (she bought me a SD as a present). Mind you that she bought me a Daytona last year for a b-day present.

The military retirement was “official” this July (so she decided to buy me another present as she received a good bonus this year & was so kind in spending it on me).

This past Saturday we went out on our usual date & she SURPRISED me by bringing me to the dealership to pick up my retirement present.

I know that for most of you, this is not much at all & it isn't really anything to share. However, I come from modest means & I have never received a present of this magnitude.

It isn't the car or material possessions that I am showing off, but the mere fact that I consider myself VERY FORTUNATE to have a spouse who gives me the world (my world).

The good Lord has truly blessed me w/ a wonderful lady & I am truly grateful! Now, I just pray for continued good health for me & my loved ones.

All I got from my wife was this:

With those words: Can you bring a little speed now?

Congratulations, Jet.
That is one amazing woman you are married to!!!!!!!!! Very nice Benz!

I can relate 100%. I retired with 26 yrs in the Army and my frau had 28 when she pulled the pin. I had mentioned that I always wanted a diesel 3/4 ton GMC Sierra and she bought me one shortly after I got out.

Enjoy, brother.

Thanks Sheldon & congratulations to you! The GMC Sierra is quite nice, my neighbor has one down the street & I wouldn't mind having one (since I like trucks), but it would not fit in my garage or driveway.

A big Army "Hoooowahhh" to you brother!

That is one beautiful car and your wife was wonderful to surprise you like that. Use it in good health! (BTW, having lived in San Diego for a number of years, I am familiar with that dealership. Small world!)

A good gift for me is when the wife lowers the amount of anti-freeze in my meals.

Jet. You are a lucky man. Enjoy your retirement. Thank you for your service. Hooah! You have a great wife. I showed my wife the photos and she didn't commit to a Mercedes or a Rolex. She needs further work.
