Forum Advice

I just wanted to comment on the advice given to those of us who post asking for help on this forum. We receive very candid and ruthlessly objective advice, guidance, and opinions. The priceless knowledge bank of information which is meticulously scrutinized by other members is a history lesson in itself and not easily found elsewhere. It seems the members have a borderline OCD with watches. I love it. Its this type of attention to detail that put us on the moon, built the SR71, and builds quality watches. Its probably the reason why most owners of Rolex watches appreciate these little mechanical wonders. They (you) admire the effort put into the design, technical superiority, and beauty of a watch which is all rolled into singular product. To me a watch reminds me that I only have so much time on this planet and that life is precious. And so I try and do the best I can in all aspects of life with the same attention of detail. Its refreshing to correspond with others that share the same traits that I value.

I guess you will have to ignore all my threads and comments. I own an engineering company and am surrounded by engineers all day long. I have gone over to the darkside to protest. I now go to lunch at 11:00am; drink until 1:00pm; have sex with the CFO; declare to all that will listen that I am now the best salesman I know; remind the engineers that the financial folks run the world; shout that I am in charge; then go home at 1:02pm. Hey, at least I am quick.

That's not the kind of knowledge the OP was talking about, sexmaniac1957.

How can you do that? You don't even have a first language.

Not bad. I believe the hijack started at post #6. And we know who the culprit is. None other than trailertrash1957. Reasonably good, gang.

Give him a little credit. He tries. Even if he falls very short.

Hmm...this 'conversation' and hijack reminds me of the following dialogue from Ghostbusters:

Dr Ray Stantz: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here.
Walter Peck: They caused an explosion!
Mayor: Is this true?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes it's true.
[pause]
Dr. Peter Venkman: This man has no dick.

Walter Peck: Jeez!
[Charges at Venkman]
Mayor: Break it up! Hey, break this up! Break it up!
Walter Peck: All right, all right, all right!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Well, that's what I heard!

That's unusual,

A nice thread by a new member shot to bits by the usual culprit and senior associates.

SNAFU.

You guys are awesome. I read this post and felt the sincerity and true inner expression by the OP(exactly why I'm here by the way). Now I finally understand what hijacking a thread means because by the time I got to the bottom post I pretty much lost focus of the OP and all could do is laugh my a*# off. Posts number 12 and 16 are classic. You guys sure brighten up my day sometimes. ROTF...
