1968 SWISS Only Snowflake

Figured I would share some photos here in Vintage as I get ready to release this one, sniff. But can't keep 'em all.

Over ten years ago, some people thought these were actually fake - SPCGs with 7528 stamped in the back. I have come across 8 and have the serials of seven of them, this is the second oldest.

Ohhh would be so nice to have a time machine and go back to the earlier days

I know , but I have 2 other Tudor blue Milsubs as it is and I just can't keep them all. I am also selling the FIRST Tudor snowflake I bought over 10 years ago. I am going to cut my collection almost in half.

Can't Keep 'Em All

Who doesn't love a pop tart at 6 o'clock? And at 3 and 9, for that matter.

Thanks for posting John. So the Swiss only dial should only be found with that very early Spcg case and 7528 back? I understand that the Swiss dial is the first of the snowflakes. Am I on the money ?

It appears so. There was a saga when I got mine not that long ago but ultimately the same conclusion:

1) Swiss only dial with SPCG
2) serial tended to start with 62XXXX
3) 7528 caseback

Lovely and with the common 1 or 2 shades lighter handset (that sometimes matches the very edge of the HR markers).

1) Maybe, there are some later in the wild with SWISS only that are not SPCG
2) Yes
3) ALL SPCG are 7528 caseback. Anything else is mix/match

True - slight mismatch patina, even between the hands, is the norm.

I was lucky to stand on the shoulders of you and others, merely benefiting from the hard work you guys did - yes, if we could go back in time with the knowledge we have now ~

Good seeing you here, J

Saw this on OF and was gutted that I don't have the funds to get it, but I am lucky enough to have bought another SPCG 7016 from you, the one with the amazing case and lume loss on the hands. Can't win em all tho.
