First Panerai 000
I’ve wanted a Panerai 000 for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. I’ve worn friends before, but i didn’t really think a 44mm watch would work for me. It’s probably too big, but man is it cool.
November 6th was 10 years sober for me, so i wanted to get something to mark the occasion. I really never understood the Panerai guys with all the strap changing… but in a matter of minutes, i became one of you . It’s pretty awesome. Now for the total newbie Panerai question, do they make a smaller buckle? Because this thing is huge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats on your new PAM. Take a look at https://www.vintagerstraps.com/
Micah makes a great strap with different buckle size options. Highly recommended. Here is mine with green stitching. |

Congratulations. Great choice. You can buy a thumbnail buckle.

Classic and beautiful watch. Big congratulations!
You don’t show what buckle you have in the photo, but I assume it’s a trapezoid one. Short answer, yes you can buy a smaller buckle. Plenty of options out there. |

Or as mentioned above get a nice strap from some place like vintager and add a smaller buckle when purchasing. |

Congrats (for the watch & 10 yrs) and welcome to the club! As far as the buckle, I've found two solutions, a thumbnail buckle or a strap that narrows. For instance, my most recent purchase has a 26/22 strap, so the strap at the buckle isn't as wide as at the case. For whatever reason, this wears much better for me.

Congrats on the milestone in your sobriety!
The 000 is a great way to commemorate such an accomplishment! The fun, as you've mentioned, now begins with all of the strap options! |

Congrats on the watch and 10 years! I think this is the best PAM - so classic!
I have a small wrist myself and when I had my 000 I wore one side on a short sized rubber strap for better fit. I got mine on a forum but is smells like cologne (prior owner). Happy to sell it cheap. I have an unbranded panatime thumbnail buckle too. PM me if you interested. |

Congrats on 10 and the 000! If you have a small wrist and are going to get a few (many) custom straps, make sure to ask the strap maker what size you should get. Most strap makers are very good about working with customers to make sure sizing is right. Also, for small wrists and big watches, I recommend getting a thicker strap. Most makers (like Micah who’s been recommended above) tend to make straps that are 4mm thick. I have a small 6.0-6.25” wrist and find that 5mm thick straps look way better on my 47mm watches on my small wrist. Note that the thicker the strap, the longer it’ll have to be. Feel free to PM me if you have any strap questions. I’ve experimented for years with different strap sizes, leather hides, and worldwide makers.

Great choice and incredible accomplishment!!! I had a 000 a few years back and I ended up having it coated with DLC. It turned out great.
