Everyone needs a LN Sub in their collection. Goes with everything you wear. Then you have the BLRO for the touch of colour.

Tough call. I voted for the BLNR & LV because I just don't care much for the BLRO. But, I do agree that someone should own a black Sub first, assuming these choices would be the start of a collection and not just additions.

You are such a fickle! Keep your BLNR and 12LV. If you want to add the 124060, save some more and add at a later date. Everyone in the forum knows that you change your mind every quarter or two, thus wanting a new watch/bezel color combination!

Lol!!!! I am an open book. I love my 2 right now, but I miss the 124060. I just don’t know adding it to the two I have makes a ton of sense, lots of overlap.

I started with the submariner, but used it as leverage with a trade in to get the LV first.

Black date Sub + BLRO is just about as perfect as it can get :)

Some would say the most classic pick. Issue is I like the BLNR better and the LV makes a better one two punch with the BLNR in my opinion. All four would be even better!

Not a fan of the BLNR though I love the 126LV. Given the options, BLRO+126LV or BLRO+124

I had all 4 earlier in the year, albeit the 11th series Subs. I felt there is overlap and I wanted to have only one reference per product line.
So I took the BLNR and Sub to one of my local ADs which also sells pre-owned watches and in exchange they gave me brand new blue SkyD.
Never looked back. I am super happy with BLRO and Hulk.

In this case, I voted BLRO + Sub. BLRO to me is the quintessential GMT. I prefer Sub over a Kermit.

Interesting. See I would be happy, I think, if I ever got the SS Daytona to add with my 2. Starting to think that will never happen. I need to try a SD on, not a bad thought.

BLNR/LV is my vote. All are amazing though. I look at it like this - if you like the classics, history it’s the Pepsi/sub. For modern (if 2003 is considered that) it’s the BLNR/LV. Those two references symbolizes Rolex’s transition to a modern approach to their lineup to me. That said, I’m more into modern Rolex so it’s the BLNR/LV combo as my pick.

I have the same combo....I think that the GMT on jubilee is the key here. Either combo is great but the GMT should be on jubilee to add more differentiation.

You know which way I'm going to vote

IMHO. One combo is the more "traditional" duo, vs. The more modern duo. No right or wrong just my personal collecting bias.

I added a 321 for the classic: air, land (moon) and Sea combo.

I gave up on the Daytona.

Some people here say SkyD is just a bigger DJ. To me it's much more than that. It's probably the best model Rolex makes.
And I personally think the blue on the SkyD is lighter and more appealing than the blue on the DJ.
The blue DJ, which I also had earlier, almost looks dark navy blue and even black in some situations.
The SkyD is more brighter. It could be that the dial is bigger, but to me that's the perfect blue color on a watch.

BLRO + LV is what I went with. Very happy with both. I do love the 124060 and could still see adding that as well but quite content for now.

Yes - especially if only 2, one has to be jubilee I agree.

LV (I own) + BLRO (I want) is my perfect two Rolex collection and that is not an option, so this is a tough one for me!

I went with LV + BLNR because I like the sub more than GMT so might as well get the exact sub reference I want and settle on the GMT.

I voted BLRO + 124060, but I'd prefer the sub date instead of the ND.
