Incoming Massena Magraph

This just arrived via FedEx. I have always wanted a 5196 and this should be a decent substitute for now until the 5196p replacement arrives.

This is one of the more expensive Massena Lab but I still think that it is a good value.

This is not the best picture but hope it will work. I happened to have my ROO out of the safe so I can compare the two. I think this Massena’s finish is about the same and maybe even slightly better than the AP ROO.

There are even two interior angles even though they are not very well done. But at this price point, I am not going to be picky.

That looks nice for the reasonable price point. I agree on the interior angles too, but ultimately you got a beautiful gem

It is still there but it seems like no one ever gets on anymore.

I never cared much for Massena Lab before, but this one caught my eye because:
1. I always wanted a sector dial but never owned one
2. The vintage 96 look
3. Of course the name Raúl Pages helped

Thanks! Lately it feels like when it rains, it pours. Almost every package arrived was watch related. Straps, gift from boutique, what not.

I have a Studio Underd0g Strawberry and Crème which I did not post yet.

You're gonna need more than 2 wrists!

I hate to ask but I’m on the list for this one also and have had a difficult time finding pictures that give me a good sense of the dial and movement. If you don’t mind will you post some different pictures of the dial, and on your wrist and your thoughts on the dial? Thanks so much

Will do in a few days once the holiday craze is over.

Overall impression is good value for the money and the dial is quite nicely made. The movement finish is okay as I mentioned above. I don’t have a chance to wear it but the brief moments I tied it on, I would say it wears a little larger than the 38.5mm implies due to the lug shape. (Long and straight) it feels like a 40/41 Patek on the wrist.

Here is a wrist shot. As I mentioned, it feels larger than the 38.5mm would imply. The dial is quite nice as the minute ring is a silvery concentric finish and the center dial is a matt off white. The blued hands contrasts rather nicely with the white/silver background.

One thing I found disappointing just now. I wanted to swap out the rubberized strap with the extra strap provided and just found out the installed strap is on quick release but the extra black calf was not cut for quick release. I wonder how long it will take to break-in the rubberized sturgeon strap. I may get a Camille Fournet to replace it.

Hello! I had a quick question for you. When you set your seconds hand to 0, does your watch go to the next minute mark after the seconds hand does a full Revolution of the sun-dial? If not, have you seen the issue resolve over your time with the watch? Mine had an issue with the seconds hand initially, went back in for service, and now the minute hand appears to be running slow. Please let me know what yours looks like. If you could send a video that would be amazing.

Thanks in advance!
