Just picked up my DJ41!

Stopped in the AD earlier today just to have a quick chat. Ended up meeting the manager and started chatting about all things watch related.

Long story short, he said he’d keep me in mind if something came in and after driving home about 30 mins away, got the call from my sales rep that they’d like me to come back.

Pulled a quick u-turn and made my way back to pick up this. Now celebrating it with a glass of GTS.

That Stagg is harder to get than a white dial SS Daytona.

Congrats on the watch. It pays to stop in every once in a while.

Cheers!

Beautiful watch!! Enjoy it.

Now about the AD… is anyone else frustrated by these games that they sent the customer home empty handed under the guise they have no watches then call the guy a half hour later to make a u turn and they all of a sudden have a watch to offer? To me this is total BS not only a waste of someone’s time but it’s too much game playing. ADs should be more up front and tell him we have this in the back, we may or may not be able to sell it to you depending on X.

Haha it is indeed, had to camp out for 12 hours to get the GTS last year, still was a fun time with friends though.

Yeah, it’s definitely frustrating. My thought is they had a bunch in inventory and waited until the new year and price increases to start trickling them out. Factor in the overall economy is trending downwards, better for them to liquidate as much as they can now before it gets more challenging to do so.
