Dear friends!
I am wearing suits 80% of time. Thinking about the new Explorer 36 as daily driver…TT or SS model. My wrist size is about 19cm.
Help, please, with arguments in favor or against. Or better to buy DJ41?

19cm wrist and a 36mm watch? I have 20 cm wrist and my 39mm Exp looks borderline ok. I would try getting or at least trying live a 39mm one if I were you.

Sure - I see people wearing ugly Apple Watches with suits, why not an explorer? It is 2023, wearing a shirt and sports jacket is almost overdressed.

That’s a good size wrist (about 7.5 inches for my fellow Americans). I’d highly recommend the previous Explorer 39mm version. Specifically the MKII

Regardless of wrist size, I prefer that last version anyway.

I'm normally not one to agree with sizing up but in this case, I would consider it. Maybe a modern Air King? A little bigger, but perhaps a bit too sporty.

Yes! I’ve got an 18cm wrist and have a TT Explorer that I wear all of the time because of its flexibility in more formal work situations and casual settings. If Don Draper wasn’t enough to put your mind at ease, let me try it: it looks amazing in a suit. Small enough to feel formal, but with a sporty/fun edge. It’s a great piece in a classic, timeless size.

I had my name down for an OP36 and an explorer36 as a casual every day watch, went in to the AD to say hello a couple of weeks later and was offered a S/S DJ36 Wimbledon dial (flutted/jubilee). Bought it then and there and couldn’t be happier. Seems to tick all the everyday boxes

Yeah, exactly. Once ppl started wearing AW and fat ugly Garmins with suits, there can not be a talk that a sports Rolex does not fit with a suit.

DJ 41 for me. 36 Explorer felt very small on my 7" IMHO.

My wrist is smaller than the OP and I've never looked at my 39mm Explorer and wished it was smaller...and I am almost always the guy in threads that tells people their watch is too big.

If you are contemplating now between 36 and 40/41, then I would go with the larger piece.
Have you ever heard of shrinkage?
