Rose Gold day date

What color dial do most people prefer on a rose gold date 40? Green, chocolate , or sunburst ? I know it’s personal preference but just wanted to get some feed back. Roman, ice stick , or sticks ? Green is the most popular but does it match all outfits ? White , silver , and black are safe but it’s so old fashion .

I like the olive green Romans but I’m biased.

Big fan of the chocolate motif sticks or chocolate Romans with RG DD40, but I admire it in any iteration.

I got the opportunity to see a RG DD40 with a chocolate dial in the metal and while not my personal taste, if you like RG it was a real stunner!

Lol. Let the market price drop to 10% below retail. See how many still like olive better.

The only RG DDs I like are the olive dial and the white dial. And the olive dial is far preferred over any other RG DDs in general.

I had option to select the various dial choices mentioned. I chose the sundust stripes. I went in thinking chocolate motif or white. White seemed too stark on my skin tone (darker)…I preferred sticks rather than romans. This one sang to me.

Two of the great rose gold sport watches are the chocolate dial Patek 5711r and the DayDate with a chocolate dial. While olive green is unique and the aftermarket values it, I find the green and rose gold clash a bit. The chocolate to my eye blends much better.

How is white, silver, or black old fashioned?

The sundust stripe motif is gorgeous but no longer new….olive is great too but really falling out of love with the Roman markers these days..deconstructed or not.

The olive dial in the sun is one of the most dynamic and gorgeous dials I have ever seen/owned.

Not rose, but stick and motif. See previous post for the RG version.

Rose gold with chocolate dial easily for me. I am not a heavy hitter and am going by pictures only.
