Tudor Large Rose information needed.

Hi all,
I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me get some info on my vintage Tudor Large Rose. I picked it up about 7 years ago, and have not really worn it that much.
It is a manual wind 17 jewel movement if I remember correctly. The case ref. # is 7984, which according to my research seems to be a Ranger case, which does not seem right, and the serial # is 511XXX. It has a Rolex signed caseback and what appears to be an original coronet crown. I have seen a few Tudors that were similar (different caseback, ref. #, or a date wheel) The case is about 33-34mm.
The dial says "Tudor Oyster" Below the 12 O'Clock position and "Shock-Resisting" just about the 6.
If anyone could shed some light on the history of this, that would be great.
Thanks
