You didn't have to share that with us Jocke! I thought it was an update of your truck.

Glad you are well!

I also thought it was a car update! This surprised me, in a kind of bad way

Glad you're getting better though!

I know how you feel Jocke.

This is how I got my wife back from the hospital 3 days ago.

She looked good when I dropped her off.

That looks like the "classic" Staph aureus skin infection. Just make sure you ask if they cultured that and what kind of bacteria it is growing.

My guess is community acquired methicillin resistant staph aureus. In that case make sure you are getting an antibiotic that will cover it.

The drain might need to stay in a few more days and some warm compresses sure wouldn't hurt as long as you don't dislodge the drain.

Good luck, its really a B*&%H to have an abcess. Hope you feel better!

Yes it is.

She had surgery Thursday morning and I brought her home Saturday afternoon.

Looks almost like I practised target shooting, doen't it?

Good Lord! Why did she have to stay in the hospital so long? I hope she's okay. Usually that type of laproscopic surgery is outpatient.
Hope I am not being too nosy. Hope she is well soon!

Thanks Kaya, appreciate your thoughts.

She had some complications and they wanted to have her under observation.
As you can see they made 5 holes instead of 3 which is what the doctor said beforehand he would do.
Still don't know why as nobody has explained anything.

(Me too.)

Similar to the blood clot posts.

So your middle name is lance, Jocke, or did it erupt?

Just don't make her laugh!

"It only hurts when I laugh."

...Like, who SAID that?

Warm wishes and good thoughts coming her way.
